Burlington, Ia (The Hawk Eye)- A fundraiser and supply drive to help those impacted by the Derecho storm in Cedar Rapids is being organized in Burlington.
The Hawk Eye reports that Jen Norris of Burlington is organizing an event from 6 to 10 PM Friday at the Outpost Bar at 2505 Mount Pleasant St.
The event will host a silent auction as well as a donation drive. Both cash and supplies will be accepted.
Supplies needed include bottled water, snacks, non-perishable food, sports drinks, and baby items (baby food, diapers, etc.)
All donations will be delivered to the Cedar Rapids area this weekend.
