Burlington Ia-  The City of Burlington will be including the community’s input in the hiring of a new police chief.

The city has hired the firm Cayler Consulting to assist in the search for the new chief.  Part of the process will be gathering citizen/community input to develop a “position profile” listing the desired characteristics of a new police chief.

Jeff Cayler will be in Burlington Thursday, October 1st to meet with community members. The meetings will be held at Burlington City Hall in the Council Chambers.

Due to certain coronavirus restrictions, a seat must be reserved prior to the meeting date. There will be several meeting time options, each limited to 15 people. If you are unable to attend a meeting in person but would still like to participate, a questionnaire can be completed online.

Citizens can email Stephanie Stuecker at stueckers@burlingtoniowa.org or call 319-753-8178 to reserve a spot or request a questionnaire.
