Des Moines, Ia- The total number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Iowa continues to climb.
According to the latest data on the state’s coronavirus tracking website, the state received a total of 4,797 tests Tuesday and of those, 593 tests came back positive.
That brings the total number of positive tests in Iowa since the pandemic began to 101,531.
In Des Moines County, 1 positive case was reported Tuesday, bringing the total number of positive cases in the county to 1,020 since the pandemic began.
As of Wednesday Des Moines County showed a 14-day positivity average of 10.5%. Henry county showed the highest 14-day positivity average in southeast Iowa with 13.8%.
