Hancock Co., Il- An Iowa man died in a car accident Saturday in Hancock County, Illinois.
According to Illinois State Police, 59-year-old Kennard McPike of Cedar Rapids was traveling southbound on 480 East, just south of 450 North in Hancock County.
For an unknown reason, McPike’s 2010 Toyota Camry left the roadway to the right. McPike then overcorrected and traveled back across 480 East and left the roadway to the left.
McPike then struck a driveway and overturned, striking a power pole and coming to rest on the car’s wheels.
McPike was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hancock County Coroner.
