827,572 Iowans have asked for an absentee ballot

Des Moines, Ia-  With just under two weeks until election day, early voting in Iowa is ahead of previous records.

Radio Iowa reports that over 827,000 Iowans have requested an absentee ballot for early voting either in person at their auditor’s office or by mail.

The Iowa Secretary of State website shows over 570,000 Iowans votes have already been received.

Of those voters, 53% of them were Democrats, 30% Republicans, and 16% registered as “no party” or independent voters.
