MoShun Reed to be represented by Public Defender

Burlington, Ia-  A man accused of killing a Burlington man in 2019 will now be represented in court by the Public Defender’s office.

MoShun Reed of Shreveport Louisiana is accused of the murder of Tito Kingsby back in October of 2019.

According to police Reed shot Kingsby multiple times at Kingsby’s house on Stowe Street in Burlington.  Reed claims it was done in self-defense.

The Hawk Eye reports that Reed had been initially represented by local attorney Scott Schroeder, but he later filed paperwork to be removed as Reed’s counsel due to Reed not being able to pay him.

Public defenders Amy Christensen and James Carter have now been assigned to defend reed in the case.
