One injured in Des Moines County Wreck

Burlington, Ia-  One person was injured in a Des Moines County car wreck Monday night.

According to a police report, at approximately 10 PM Monday, Nov. 23rd, Des Moines County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the area of Flint Bottom Road and Flint Creek for a vehicle that had wrecked into the creek.

Deputies found a 2008 Toyota Camry on its top in Flint Creek and was occupied by three Burlington men.

One of them, 19-year-old Mason Fort was transported to Great River Medical Center with unknown injuries.  Another man, 19-year-old Reece Wissinger was uninjured and released from the scene.  The driver, 22-year-old Michon Hunt was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated, Failure to Maintain Control, and Driving Under Suspension.

The Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Burlington Fire Department.
