Burlington, Ia- The Burlington School Board has voted to request permission from the Iowa Department of Education to continue 100% online learning.

The board said the decision to do this was due to the positivity rate in Des Moines County remaining around 18%, and a projected surge in COVID-19 cases occurring around the holidays.

The district submitted the request Friday, and ask parents and students to plan accordingly and assume that students will remain in Remote Instruction for the next two weeks.

More information on remote learning can be found on the Burlington Community School District website.
