Des Moines, Ia- 70 additional deaths related to COVID-19 were reported Wednesday, the largest single-day increase since the pandemic began.
The state reported a total of 2,449 deaths Thursday related to COVID 19 since the start of the pandemic.
The Des Moines Register reports that while the deaths were reported since Wednesday, none occurred in December. 107 deaths from November have been reported since Monday, bringing the total number of deaths in November to 718.
