Burlington, Ia- The number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Des Moines County is starting to gradually trend down, but remains high.
According to the state’s coronavirus tracking website, as of Tuesday Morning, Des Moines County showed a 14-day positivity average of 17.5%. The county has seen a total of 3,113 positive cases since the pandemic began, with 2,151 recoveries and 24 deaths.
In RMC Region 5, 203 people are hospitalized with the virus, with 31 admitted in the last 24 hours, 53 people in ICU’s and 26 on ventilators.
