Burlington, Ia-  The Burlington Bees have announced that their relationship with Major League Baseball has changed.

Bees General Manager Kim Parker said in a statement Wednesday that MLB has finalized plans for Minor League Baseball realignment.  The League announced that 120 teams were invited to receive a Player Development License for the 2021 season, and the Bees were not one of them.

Parker stated that the team’s Board of Directors and staff are committed to keeping baseball in Burlington for the 2021 season and beyond, and are searching for alternatives for the upcoming season.
