Burlington, Ia- The Burlington School Board has voted to revoke their request to the Department of Education for 100% online learning and to return to their hybrid learning model.
The board on Friday also adopted a new mask policy Policy with the expectation that masks be worn throughout the school day, even when social distancing can be maintained.
Upon visiting or attending a school building during the school day, non-medical grade face coverings and/or shields, properly worn covering the nose and mouth, are required and a 6-foot distance should be maintained when possible.
Exceptions can be made when the wearing of a mask or shield makes it impossible to complete necessary activities or when unnecessary in nature. Staggered mask breaks may be given at the discretion of the teacher.
