Burlington, Ia- Burlington Firefighters responded to calls of heavy smoke at a law office in the 3000 block of division street Thursday, and smoke was all they found.
The Hawk Eye reports that the Burlington Fire Department received a call of heavy smoke and an electrical smell coming from the Crowley & Prill law office at 3012 Division St. at 6:53 AM Thursday.
Firefighters arrived on the scene just before 7 AM and accessed the building but no flames were found. The problem was solved once Alliant Energy had cut power and gas to the building.
No one was inside the building at the time.
