Burlington Civic Music cancels December and January shows, adds February performance

Burlington, Ia-  Burlington Civic music has had to cancel more performances due to COVID-19.

The Civic Music Association announced Monday that it has canceled its next two performances: December’s “A Country Christmas With David Kroll” (rescheduled to December 2021) and the Sultans of String in January 2021.

A performance by the string trio TAKE3 has been added for February 2021. All other previously scheduled shows remain unchanged.

“Last spring, our board of directors determined that we would go forward when we could keep our audience members, artists and performance staff safe,” said Civic Music President Barb McRoberts. “Since then, it’s been one concert at a time. Shows have been canceled, shows have been postponed and we’ve added wonderful artists to fill our season.”

Saturday, Feb. 20, TAKE3.

Thursday, March 25, Catapult: Magic Shadows.

Thursday, April 22, FLY Dance Company … The Gentlemen of Hip-Hop.

Monday, May 3, Chicago Harp Quartet, Capitol Theater.

Saturday, May 15, The Texas Tenors.

December 2021, “A Country Christmas With David Kroll

All shows begin at 7:30 pm, at the Burlington Memorial Auditorium, except the Chicago Harp Quartet. This performance is scheduled at the Burlington Capitol Theater.

Burlington Civic Music season subscriptions and single-show tickets ($20 adults/$5 students) are available by calling 319-752-0336. Single-show tickets also may be purchased 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays and the night of the show at Memorial Auditorium.
