Burlington man arrested for drug possession

Burlington, Ia-  The Burlington Police Department has announced the arrest of a Burlington man on drug-related charges.

On Wednesday, January 20th, detectives with the Southeast Iowa Narcotics Task Force and the Iowa Department of Narcotics Enforcement, Burlington and West Burlington Police Departments, Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office, and the Des Moines County Tactical Response Unit executed a search warrant on a residence in the 1800 block of South 13th Street.

42-year-old Corey Dean Lowry of Burlington (Above) was arrested and charged with Possession with intent to deliver Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine Base, and Drug Tax Stamp Violation.

Lowery is being held at Des Moines County Jail without bond pending a court appearance.

The counter-drug efforts conducted by the Southeast Iowa Narcotics Task Force (SEINT) are partially funded through the use of JAG/BYRNE grants administered through the Office of Drug Control Policy of Iowa and local law enforcement agencies. SEINT will continue to collaborate with local, state, and federal partners to combat illegal drug distribution in Southeast Iowa.

 

This investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are expected.
