Des Moines, Ia- According to a recent poll, a majority of Iowans do not want US Senator Chuck Grassley to run for re-election again in 2022.
The Des Moines Register reports that in a recent poll conducted by both the paper as well as Mediacom Iowa, 28% of Iowans want Senator Grassley to run again, 55% say they want him not to, and 17% were unsure.
Senator Grassley has served in public office since he joined the state legislature in 1959, and he is looking to run for the US Senate for the eighth time in 2022.
The poll, consisting of 775 Iowans was conducted between March 7th and March 10th by Selzer & Co. of Des Moines.
