Fort Madison, Ia-  An Iowa judge declined to set bond in a hearing for the two prisoners accused of killing two people at Anamosa State Prison.

The Des Moines Register reports that 28-year-old Michael Dutcher and 39-year-old Thomas Woodard had their second court date set, a preliminary hearing on April 15th.  Also, the judge said the two men could not be released on bond.

The two men are accused of killing staff nurse, 50 Lorena Schulte, of Cedar Rapids, and corrections officer 46 Robert McFarland of Ely during a failed escape attempt.

The two men appeared virtually in court from the Iowa State Penitentiary, where they had been transported earlier this week.
