Burlington, Ia- The Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office has announced an arrest stemming from a traffic stop.
On Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at approximately 9:53 p.m., a deputy with the Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the area of Old Hwy 61 and Summer St. in Rural Des Moines County.
The vehicle was occupied by a male driver, a female passenger, and 2 small children. As a result of the traffic stop, the driver 39-year-old Calvin Cass Tucker of Fort Madison, Iowa was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated, Interference with Official Acts, Driving Under Suspension, Child Endangerment, and a Probation Warrant.
Tucker was taken to the Des Moines County Jail on a $15,000.00 cash-only bond. The passenger of the vehicle, Kayla Kristine Lewis age 31 of Danville, Iowa was issued a summons to appear for Possession of Marijuana.
