Sue was born on July 27,1954 to John & Dorothy Warning. She was one of eight children that grew up on a farm in LaGrange, Missouri. Sue was always getting into some sort of mischief with her sisters (Diane Morrey, Barbara Warning, Linda Kelly, & Sharon Fraind). She also enjoyed picking on her younger brother Daniel Warning with her older brothers Jimmy & Jackie Warning.
Sue would move to Burlington, Iowa after high school. In 1975, she met the love of her life, Gary E. Meller (Wever, IA) and they were married for 47 years. On a dead-end gravel road outside of Middletown, they raised four children: Kevin Meller (Riverside, IA), Kimberly Meller-Angus (Ankeny, IA), Laura Meller (Oberursel, Germany), Stefanie Bell (Alexandra, Egypt). Being a mom of four was always Sue’s greatest joy in life, until she became a grandma. (Calvin, Amelia & Collin Meller; Vera & Leo Angus; Sofia, Olivia, & Eva Bell)
Besides lovin’ on her eight grandchildren, Sue enjoyed taking photographs and celebrating Christmas. It was her love for photography which led her to start her business “Moments in Time Photography.” She had a passion for capturing special moments at weddings, family occasions, sports events, prom, and for high school seniors. Christmas was Sue’s favorite time of year. She started planning in July. The house was decorated at the start of November and Christmas music could be heard through February. The house would be filled with cookies, presents, and Christmas movies continually playing on Hallmark during this time of year.
Sue was full of spunk, always ready for an adventure, and had a great sense of humor. Her husband, children, and her grandchildren will miss laughing with her dearly. However, her grandma Vera Mae Warning and little sister Barbra Warning, who preceded her in death, are excited to see her smile once again.
