Des Moines, Ia-  All but two of Iowa’s 99 counties have rejected all or most of their COVID-19 vaccine allotments for this week.

The Des Moines Register reports that just two counties, Monona and Emmet Counties, wanted their full allocations of COVID vaccine.

On Friday, the Iowa Department of Public Health reported that 57 counties wanted zero vaccine.

Department of Public Health Spokeswoman Sarah Ekstrand said in a statement that the state qualified for about 69,000 vaccine doses for this week, but is requesting just short of 20,000.
