West Burlington, Ia- The former city administrator for West Burlington will be returning to fill the position until a permanent replacement is found.
The Hawk Eye reports that Gregg Mandsager, the city administrator from 2000 until 2005, was brought in by West Burlington Mayor Hans Trousil after the departure of city administrator Dan Gifford.
Mandsager was the city administrator for Muscatine from 2009 until 2019 when he was fired while on medical leave. He has since filed a lawsuit against the city over the incident.
