Burlington, IA- According to data from the Iowa Department of Public Health, Des Moines County has vaccinated 38% of residents.
The Hawk Eye reports that the number of vaccine doses was up slightly from the previous week for a total of 37,637 vaccines administered.
As of Tuesday, 38% of people living in Des Moines County have either been fully vaccinated with a two-shot variety of the vaccine, such as Pfizer or Moderna, or received a single shot variety, Johnson & Johnson.
This comes as coronavirus cases have been trending up slightly, largely in part due to the more contagious delta variant.
