Fort Madison, IA- Authorities in Fort Madison are searching for an individual who stabbed a man in Fort Madison on Tuesday resulting in the man’s death.
Authorities were called to an apartment building at 610 8th Street in Fort Madison at about 4:30 PM Tuesday, after the building manager called 911. The victim was found in a hallway and taken to Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in Fort Madison, were he later died. His name has yet to be released.
Fort Madison Police Chief Mark Rohloff says in a news release that the suspect fled the scene on foot and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation has been contacted to assist in the search. He also stated that the victim and the suspect were connected and it was not a random act of violence.
