Burlington, IA- A Burlington Trailways Driver was assaulted Monday, causing a delay in the motor coach’s route.
According to a post on the Burlington Trailway’s Facebook Page, On Monday, December 6th, at about 12:25 PM, a Burlington Trailways driver was physically assaulted by a passenger while driving a bus near the 80/280 exchange in Davenport.
The driver was able to safely park the bus before police responded to the scene and arrested the passenger. Other passengers were taken to a nearby depot to wait for the next scheduled route.
Burlington Trailways is working with local and national enforcement agencies regarding the situation.
