Des Moines County Deputies retire

Burlington, IA-  The Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office has announced the retirement of two deputies.

The retirements of Chief Deputy Brett Grimshaw and Deputy Mark McIntyre were announced in an online post on Monday, January 3rd.

In the post, Sheriff Kevin Glendenning said that  “The positive impact that these two have had on those who got to work alongside them and everyone who had the opportunity to interact with them cannot be put into words.”

Grimshaw served Des Moines County for 31 years and McIntyre served for 23.  Both served in multiple positions in the department.
