Authorities make multiple arrests in connection to Burlington robbery

Burlington, IA-  Authorities have arrested four individuals involved in a robbery at a Burlington Bar.

At about 12:54 AM Thursday, February 10th, 2022, Officers were called to The Outpost Bar & Grill, 2505 Mt. Pleasant Street, in regards to a robbery that had just taken place.

Initial information provided to officers indicated at least two individuals had entered the business armed with handguns and had taken an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and personal property from patrons and an employee of the business.

A description of the suspect vehicle was given to law enforcement and the vehicle was located near Mt. Pleasant and Roosevelt Avenue. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle but the vehicle did not stop.

The vehicle continued to speed over 100 mph until it was stopped using stop sticks at the 3100 block of County Road 79.

The four occupants of the vehicle attempted to flee on foot at which time two juveniles were detained and the other two continued to flee.  The juveniles were transported to the Burlington Police Department and interviews were conducted by the department’s Criminal Investigations Division.

The other two suspects were later arrested by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office near Denmark, IA.   During the investigation video surveillance, physical evidence, witness statements, and information gathered during the suspect’s interviews confirmed all four individuals had taken part in the armed robbery.

18-year-old Noah Christopher Scott and 22 Samuel-Evon Christopher Robert McCoy, as well as two unidentified juveniles, all of Keokuk, were all charged with multiple counts of First Degree Robbery, and Conspiracy to Commit a Forcible felony.

No injuries were reported and two firearms were seized.
