Burlington, IA-  Authorities are searching for a Burlington man following a car chase.

34-year-old Larry Keith Knotts is wanted by police for Pre-trial violations stemming from original charges of possession of a firearm by a felon and assault with bodily injury. Knotts is also the target of a large-scale methamphetamine trafficking investigation in the Burlington area.

According to a news release, on Sunday, March 13th, 2022 Knotts led authorities on a car chase in the Burlington city limits until Deputies and Officers lost sight of the suspect due to Knotts’s high speeds and reckless driving.

Officers then located the fleeing vehicle parked in the area of 1511 Gnahn St., the known address of Knott’s mother.  A search warrant was obtained and executed at the mother’s residence, but Knotts was not found.   On Friday, March 11th, 2022, tactical teams from the Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office, the Burlington Police Department, and the Iowa State Patrol executed search warrants at Knotts’ known residence of 210 S. 10th St and 1511 Gnahn St in response to the narcotic investigation.

Knotts is known to be armed and dangerous and has made threats directly to area law enforcement.  Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to contact police.
