Burlington, IA- The Burlington Police Department has announced the formation of the new Community Engagement Unit.
According to a news release, the unit will serve as a community relations unit, forging partnerships with residential and commercial sectors. The CEU will organize programs and activities that build positive relationships between the police department and the public.
The CEU will collaborate with community groups, department members, and other community resources to identify and solve public safety problems within the community.
