Burlington, IA-  The Greater Burlington Partnership has announced the 2022 Small Business of the Year award being awarded to The Collective Food Hub.

The Food Hub has seen growth since being purchased in 2021, with their weekly sales doubling from the time the business was purchased by Alex and Sarah Beames.

The shop is filled with completely homemade delectables, farm fresh produce, and locally sourced meat and eggs. They have also added take-n-bake meals and just recently started dabbling with small venue catering.

It offers a shared-use kitchen that is available to rent for the general public or for people who want to bake goods that are then available for sale on the attached retail floor.

They donate all left over product at the end of the week to Saint Vincent DePaul Food Pantry. They donated a generous amount of items to a cancer benefit for a local individual with other benefits scheduled for the coming year.

They have been very generous with sponsorships including the Greater Burlington Partnership on the mission to help better promote the community. They have also had a special needs person using the kitchen and retail space for his products as part of a Vocational Rehab program.
