William “Bill” McMurren also known as Billy Mac, Wild-man Bill or Brother,
died on April 5th, 2021 at Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Orange California.
Bill was born to the late Coralie “Maurine” Stodgell and Robert Nelson
McMurren on May 13th in Loveland Colorado.
Bill had three daughters Tabitha, Mindy and Rochelle; four grandchildren Caelin, Makayla, Christian and Benson, whom he loved very much.
Bill enjoyed mushroom, pheasant and duck hunting, amusement parks, “all you can eat buffets” and saving a dollar. Bill lived in Orange County California for the last 30 years and loved driving his little red “midlife crisis’ sports car around like he was in Nascar. Our
dad had many tireless sayings; “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” and
“There’s nothing to fear but fear itself.” He would holler these sayings at us as he
attempted to make us stronger swimmers or trying to instill another life
lesson, to which some we would come to appreciate and others not so
much. A celebration of life for Bill and all his glory will held on Friday, May
13th, 2022 at the Port of Burlington from 4 to 7pm. Come hungry as we will be
enjoying our dads’ favorites, his love of chocolate and good food. Please do not fret, as none of our dads’ concoctions will be served, no beer can chicken. Everybody has
a Bill or Billy Mac story and/ or pictures and we would love to see and hear them all.
