Tama Two Construction delayed due to fallen roof trusses

Burlington, IA-  Construction on the Tama Two Building in downtown Burlington will experience a slight delay due to damaged roof trusses.

Myers Construction owner Justin Myers told the Burlington Beacon that the trusses were already permanently braced, and that caused the ones that fell Thursday, June 9th, to pull others down with them.

Myers said that replacement trusses are already being made, and will be delivered sometime this week.  After they are delivered, crews can begin to install the roof.

Due to the fallen trusses as well as some minor floor damage, the construction process has been delayed by about half a day.
