Burlington man arrested following shooting incident

Burlington, IA-  Authorities have announced the arrest of a Burlington man for firing a gun into the air.

According to a news release, shortly after 9 PM Tuesday, July 19th, officers responded to the 300 block of Curran Street for a report of shots fired.

Witnesses identified a suspect in the area, who was later identified as 45-year-old Jason Rohlfes.  Rohlfes was seen in the area firing shots into the air.  No one was hit and there was no property damage.

Rohlfes was arrested and charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Person Ineligible to Carry a Weapon, Harassment 1st, and Discharging a Firearm within the city.
