Marshall County investigating possible human remains found in Iowa river

Marshall County, IA-  The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office is investigating possible human remains discovered in the Iowa river.

TV station KCRG reports that at about 4 PM Wednesday, August 10th, Marshall County Deputies were directed to a remote area of the Iowa river where a possible human jawbone was found by county conservation staff during a wildlife and biology survey.

Officials conducted a search and discovered another three potential human bones.

The suspected remains will be sent to the Iowa medical examiner’s office for further testing.
