Burlington, IA- The Burlington Police Department is investigating a shots fired incident that occurred Monday, August 15th.
According to a news release, At about 12:10 PM Monday, Burlington Police and Ambulance responded to the 800 block of 9th Street in reference to a 25-year-old male who had been shot in the leg.
Upon arrival, officers located the man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was taken to Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The Burlington Police Department has established the victim and alleged suspect are acquaintances and there is no immediate threat to the community.
The incident remains under investigation.
