Burlington, IA- The Des Moines County Treasurer’s Office is reminding residents that their first half property tax payments are due by Friday, September 30th.
Payments can be made in person at the Treasurer’s office until 4:30 PM, or online at iowatreasurers.org until 11:59 PM on September 30th. Payments may also be deposited in the County drop box, which can be found outside the courthouse on the south side between the building and the parking lot.
Payments being made by mail must be postmarked on or before September 30th to avoid paying interest.
Interest of 1.5% per month will be added to this payment beginning Saturday, October 1st.
