Fort Madison, IA- A three-ton weight limit has been placed on the toll bridge between Fort Madison and Niota Illinois.
The Hawk Eye reports that BNSF officials placed the weight limit on the bridge following an inspection that revealed an issue with the highway portion of the bridge.
The weight restriction will be in place for about 10 to 14 days while BNSF works to resolve the issue.
The bridge will remain open for vehicles but under the road weight limit.
