Mark Kevin Lindblad, 66, of Burlington, died Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born December 28, 1955, in Drayton, North Dakota, he was the son of Russell V. and Arlene L. (Lofthus) Lindblad.
Mark loved listening to country music! He spent his time watching people and cars drive by his home. He was an avid collector of Fisher Price music boxes and would take them wherever he went. He had the special talent of spinning plastic lids. He loved taking car rides, eating and finishing off all meals, and everything else with his favorite drink COFFEE!
He is survived by his sister, Debra (Dennis) Sink of Burlington; Uncle, Arlin “Sonny” (Beverly) Lofthus of Burlington; Aunt, Myrna Baker of Palm Beach, Florida; nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, nephew Matthew Kevin Sink, paternal and maternal grandparents and aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 27th at Lunning Chapel. The graveside funeral service and interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 28th at Aspen Grove Cemetery.

Bradley Francis Hildebrant, 65, of Burlington, died Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born December 5, 1956, in Tulsa, OK he was the son of Ronald Gerald Hildebrant and Shirley Jean Robertson.

Bradley loved to Hunt and Fisher. He loved his dog Ruger and riding his motorcycle. He was raised in Heavener OK, loved everyone he met, and everyone loved him!

Survivors include his significant other, Elizabeth Cain of Carman, IL; step-son; Blaine Solomon Valeu; brother, Ronald Lee Hildebrant of Howe, OK; sister, Cindy and husband Michael Smith of Sand Springs, OK, Stepsister; Donna Dehart; nieces and nephews, Joshua Lee Hildebrant, Ronald Joseph Hildebrant, Jennifer Lynn Hildebrant, Michael Smith, Ronnie Smith, Tasha Love, Garret Janway, Buck Hunt, Angie Kay; sisters-in-law, Tammy Shadwick, Patricia Hildebrant, Stephanie Pascoe Lee; and numerous cousins, grand nieces and nephews, friends and loved ones.

Bradley was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Ronald Gerald and Betty Hildebrant; mother and step-father, Shirley Jean and Billy Joe Shadwick; and three brothers: Billy Ray Shadwick, Mitchell Lynn Shadwick and Michael Ray Hildebrant.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

There will be no visitation or services. Bradley will be buried in Hodgen Cemetery in Hodgen, Oklahoma at a later date.

Marilyn Ethel Miller, 86, of Sperry, died Friday, November 18, 2022, at her home.
Born June 17, 1936 in Des Moines County, Iowa, she was the daughter of Roy Charles and Ethel Lois (Granaman) Gieselman. She married James LeRoy Miller on July 15, 1954 in Kahoka, Missouri.
Marilyn was a 1954 graduate of Sperry Consolidated Schools. She was a proud farmer’s wife and loved gardening, sewing and was an excellent cook. She served as a board member for Old Stone Cemetery, rural Sperry, she was a member of Ladies in Stitches and was a life time member of the Willing Workers Club.
She attended Sperry United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James Miller of Sperry; two sons, Dennis Miller of Burlington and Robert (Traci) Miller of Winfield; one daughter, Penny (Rick) Dopler of Burlington; four grandchildren, Shayla (Josh) Schilling, Landon Dopler, Taren (Trent) Samuels and Kiley (Jacob) Leichty; 11 great grandchildren; Addison Schilling, Breckyn Schilling, Hayden Dopler, Greyson Dopler, Tayson Samuels, Treyor Samuels, Taelyn Samuels, Ty Samuels, Liam Christner, Sutton Leichty and Vale Leichty.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The funeral service for Mrs. Miller will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 26th at Lunning Chapel. The Rev. Wally Reynolds will officiate. A private family interment will be held in Old Stone Cemetery, rural Sperry. Following the funeral service a luncheon will be held at Sperry United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the care of Old Stone Cemetery.

Allen “Al” Fuqua, 69, of Burlington, died peacefully at his home on Friday, November 18, 2022, after a 11 month battle with brain cancer.

Born on December 28, 1952 in Sikeston, MO, he was the son of Hugh and Lillie Eldridge Fuqua. On July 12, 1975 he married Jill M. Lindbeck in Cambridge, Illinois.

He attended Geneseo High School in Geneseo, Illinois graduating in 1972. After graduation Al attended York College in York Nebraska.

Al worked for J.I. Case for 36 years. After retiring from Case, he worked for the Burlington Parks Department for 10 years. He loved spending time with his family. Al coached his kids’ sports teams, liked following Grayhound athletics and officiating swim meets. He was a member of the chain gang crew and scorekeeper for various sports. Al was very proud of being part of the Geneseo High School football 52-game winning streak.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Jill of Burlington; son, Shane (Kim) Fuqua of Iowa City; daughter, Megan (Brayden) Bergren of Mediapolis; one grandchild, Hannah Fuqua; mother, Lillie Fuqua of Geneseo, IL; brother, Marty (Chris) Fuqua of St. Augustine, FL; one sister, Gina (Dan) Pearson of Geneseo, IL, and many nieces and nephews who were all special to him.

He was preceded in death by his father, and sister Amy in infancy.

Visitation will be from noon until 7:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Friday, November 25, 2022 at Prugh Funeral Service 3940 Division Street, Burlington.

The funeral service for Mr. Fuqua will be Saturday, November 26 2022, at 10:00 AM with Elder Mike Alberts. A time of food and fellowship will be held in the community room at Prugh Funeral Service following the service.

The Graveside Committal Service for Mr. Fuqua will be 2:00 PM Saturday, November 26, 2022, Rosedale Cemetery in Cambridge, IL.

Memorials have been established for the Burlington Parks Department and Burlington Church of Christ.

Amber Rae Ludens, 41, of Burlington, passed Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born May 12, 1981, in Ottumwa, IA, she was the daughter of Rennie M. and Rae A. Brown Ludens.

She was a 2002 graduate of Burlington High School.

Amber attended Harmony Bible as a young child until she lost her sight. Amber was the poster child for Cerebral Palsy. Her language of love was physical touch. She enjoyed car rides, swimming and eating. Most of all she enjoyed the time she spent with her family. Amber was very special to many people. She had taught many people what is important in life and how to show love and compassion no matter the person’s appearance or disabilities.

Survivors include her parents Rennie and Rae of Burlington; brother, Jonathan (Meredith) Ludens of Mediapolis; grandmother, Marcella Ludens of Springfield, SD; aunts & uncles, Deb and Lyle Massner of Morning Sun, Wally (Elaine) Brown of Minnesota, and Richie (Cindy) Ludens of Springfield, SD; two nephews, Lance and Graysen Ludens; step-niece & nephews, Eli, Jacob and Amelia Grier and many cousins.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, John C. Ludens, Charlotte and Sharel Redmon and Gale and Marion Brown.

Visitation will be from noon until 7:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division St.,.

The funeral service for Amber will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division St.,. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery. A time of food and fellowship will be held at the Apostolic Christian Church in Burlington following the burial.

Memorials have been established for Camp Courageous and Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice.
