Des Moines, IA- Officials have announced the route for the 50th edition of the Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa.
The Des Moines Register reports that the route for the 2023 ride, announced Saturday, January 28th, will include five of the seven key towns from the original RAGBRAI route in 1973.
The ride will begin on July 22nd in Sioux City and end in Davenport on July 29th. Overnight towns include Storm Lake, Carroll, Ames, Des Moines, Tama-Toledo, and Coralville.
At 500 miles, the 2023 ride will be the longest ride since 2001, and only the sixth ride to be over 500 miles.
