New trial date set for Fairfield teen charged in teacher’s death

Fairfield, IA-  A Fairfield teen accused of killing a high school Spanish teacher has been given a new trial date.

TV Station KTVO reports that the first-degree murder trial of 17-year-old Willard Miller was initially set to begin in Pottawattamie County in March.  Miller’s request for a delay was granted earlier this week, and the trial will now begin on April 24th in Council Bluffs.

Miller and his co-defendant, Jeremy Goodale, are being tried separately for the November 2021 murder of 66-year-old Nohema Graber.

Goodale’s trial is scheduled for May 15th in Scott County.
