Danville, IA- The Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a Mount Pleasant woman on multiple drug-related charges.
According to a news release, at about 3:55 AM Monday, March 12th, deputies contacted a suspicious vehicle in the 19000 block of Roosevelt St. in Danville, IA.
During the incident, deputies conducted a consent search of the vehicle and located methamphetamine, heroin, and drug paraphernalia.
The passenger of the vehicle, 29-year-old Devyn Elize Katelyn Phelps of Mount Pleasant was arrested for possession of controlled substance methamphetamine, possession of controlled substance heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to affix a drug tax stamp.
Phelps was taken to the Des Moines County Jail, where additional methamphetamine, heroin, and drug paraphernalia were located on her person.
Phelps was also charged with possession of contraband in a correctional facility.
