Burlington, IA- Authorities have identified the body of a deceased man who was pulled from the Mississippi River on Friday, March 17th.
According to a news release, the man has been identified as 35-year-old Christopher Martin Fenton of Stronghurst, Illinois.
The facts and circumstances surrounding Fenton’s death are still under investigation.
The Burlington Police Department was assisted in recovery efforts by the Burlington Fire Department, Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office, Des Moines County Conservation, Iowa Department of Natural Resources, MedForce, and the Henderson County, Illinois Sheriff’s Office.
