Burlington, IA- The Des Moines County Treasurer’s Office is reminding residents that 2nd half property tax payments are due by Friday, March 31st.
The Hawk Eye reports that Des Moines County Treasurer Janelle Nalley-Londquist told the County Board of Supervisors Tuesday, March 21st, second half property tax payments are due in person at the Treasurer’s office by 4:30 PM, or paid online by 11:59 PM on March 31st.
Payments can also be placed in the Des Moines County Dropbox, located on the south side of the County Courthouse.
Payments being made by mail must be postmarked by March 31st.
Late payments will be charged an interest of 1.5% per month starting on Saturday, April 1st.
