
Knox County, Ill.- The Knox County Sheriff’s Office says a Knoxville, Illinois man has been cited for Violation of Scott’s Law after crashing into a Knox County squad car.
According to a news release, on Sunday, April 2nd, a Knox County Sheriff’s Deputy was diverting traffic away from a fire scene in the 1100 block of Knox Highway 8 when a vehicle driving southbound crashed into the deputy’s squad car, temporarily trapping them inside.
The deputy was transported to OSF St. Mary’s Medical Center, treated for injuries sustained in the accident, and released.
The driver of the second vehicle, 77-year-old Michael Dunn of Knoxville, Illinois was also transported to OSF St. Mary’s, treated for injuries then release. Dunn was issued a citation for Violation of Scott’s Law.
