
Keokuk, IA- Lee County Conservation will be hosting a dedication of a recently acquired property from the Clark Family.
According to a news release, the dedication of the John H. Clark Wildlife Refuge will be held at 12 PM on May 6th.
The 163-acre property’s close proximity to Keokuk provides the community with a nearby place to explore and enjoy the outdoors along the Des Moines River.
The property provides an outstanding habitat for all types of wildlife species ranging from the monarch butterfly to migratory birds to reptiles and amphibians. Lee County Conservation not only hopes the public will enjoy this land, but that it can also be used to educate local school groups and conservationists.
