Des Moines, IA- The Iowa Senate has voted to confirm the new director of the Iowa Department of Education.
TV Station KCCI reports that three Democrats joined all Republican senators in voting yes on the appointment of Chad Aldis as the new Director of the Department of Education.
Aldis was appointed to the position by Governor Reynolds in March. Aldis replaced Ann Lebo, who resigned from the position after serving three years as Director.
