Burlington, IA- The Burlington Police Department has announced the arrest of a man for his involvement in a shooting that occurred in March 2023.
According to a news release, on Tuesday, April 18th, Burlington Police Detectives, assisted by US Marshalls and Cedar Rapids Police located 19-year-old Kejonte Daishawn King outside a residence in Cedar Rapids.
King had a warrant for his arrest stemming from a shooting where two people were shot on March 24th, 2023.
King was arrested and charged with Intimidation With A Dangerous Weapon, Going Armed With Intent, Possession Of A Firearm By A Felon, and two counts of Willful Injury.
The Burlington Police Department was assisted in this investigation by the U.S. Marshals Service, Cedar Rapids Police Department, Mt. Pleasant Police Department, Iowa City Police Department, and Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office.
