Burlington, IA- The Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a Burlington man for the theft of a motorcycle.
According to a news release, at about 1:15 PM Tuesday, May 2nd, a Des Moines County Deputy stopped a motorcycle near Dodge Street and South 15th Street in Burlington for a registration violation.
During the stop, deputies observed the ignition on the motorcycle had been tampered with and there was no key. Deputies found that the bike had been stolen out of Iowa City.
The driver, 48-year-old Michael Luis Novoa of Burlington (above) was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Theft.
