Burlington Police Department looking for wanted fugitive following search warrant

Burlington, IA-  The Burlington Police Department executed a search warrant Tuesday, May 23rd, in an effort to locate a local fugitive.

According to a news release, on Tuesday Burlington Police detectives received information about the location of a wanted fugitive.

At about 4:30pm, Burlington detectives and the joint Burlington Police Department / Des Moines County Tactical Response Unit executed a search warrant at 1007 Summer Street to apprehend the fugitive. The fugitive was not located inside the residence and detectives believe the fugitive left just before their arrival.

The Burlington Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the fugitive.

The fugitive, 27 year old Kewion Marquis Boyce (above), is 6-foot tall with a slender build. He is wanted on warrants for Felony Domestic Abuse Assault and 3 counts of 1st Degree Harassment. More charges are pending.

He is presumed armed and dangerous. Do not attempt to approach him.
