Oquawka man arrested for Criminal Trespass, Domestic Battery

Oquawka, Ill.-  The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of an Oquawka man for Criminal Trespass to a Vehicle and Aggravated Domestic Battery.

According to a news release, at about 12:25 AM Sunday, June 25th, the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stolen vehicle in Oquawka.  During the investigation, the vehicle was returned to the owner’s address.

The suspect who stole the vehicle was found to be a family member of the victim.

When the Deputy arrived at the residence an altercation was occurring. The Deputy was able to separate the parties and continue the investigation.

28-year-old Zachary M. Ferguson of Oquawka had allegedly taken the vehicle and when he returned it, got into a physical altercation with the victim.

Ferguson was arrested and taken to the Henderson County Jail.
