Burlington, IA- The Burlington Public Works Director’s Office has announced that a contractor for the city will be working on street repairs on Division Street from Plane Street to just east of Leebrick Street.
According to a news release, this project is part of the 2023 HMA Street Resurfacing Project.
The outer lanes of traffic will be closed. Through traffic will be maintained on the inner lanes. Traffic signal lights at Division and Plane and Division and Leebrick intersections will be placed on flashing red during the construction period.
Construction work is expected to start at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28th, and will last about 6 to 8 weeks.
This work will include intermittent pavement patching, surface milling, asphalt overlay, and reconstruction of sidewalk connections. The altered traffic pattern will eventually be adjusted to accommodate the various work activities, but through traffic will be maintained.
